Impact Assessment in the Digital Era;

Barry Roberts and Marc Blanché from WKC’s London and Durban offices respectively took part in the recent IAIA15 conference held in Florence, Italy. The conference was attended by over 1,000 delegates from around the world.

Barry Roberts presented in the “Oil for Development” session. Barry’s presentation was titled “IFC guideline Implementation in Africa: Challenges“ and provided insight into the challenges associated with the implementation of the IFC General EHS Guidelines and Performance Standards.

Marc Blanché presented in the “Spatial models and data for land use planning” session. Marc’s presentation was titled “New industrial cities: Planning for air quality” and provided a summary of the options available to regulators at a planning stage that promotes clean air.  Both presentations were well attended and provided a platform for stimulating session discussions.
