Flagship Projects in Kuwait
Kuwait/Iraq Power Supply Project
Project to interconnect Kuwait 400kV Al Zour and Iraq Al Fao 400kV substations by a Double Circuit 400kV overhead transmission line covering 300 km.
WKC was commissioned to conduct the environmental and social impact assessment (ESIA) to lender and IFC performance standards in addition to the local regulations in both Kuwait and Iraq. Key to the project was habitat evaluation which was surveyed by a combination of field surveys and drone flights. As well as climate change and human rights risk assessments.
Kuwait Oil Company Pipelines Project AIV Study
WKC undertook acoustically acoustically induced vibration (AIV) analysis for a multiple pipeline project to determine the likelihood of piping fatigue caused by acoustic vibration resulting from pressure let down devices and recommended mitigation measures to reduce fatigue. The project was conducted in accordance with the Energy Institute Guidelines.
