Hudayriyat-Island-Flagship-Project

Hudayriyat Island EIA
WKC was tasked with undertaking the environmental permitting studies associated with the EAD for multiple assets across Hudayriyat Island including; Cove Marina, the Leisure and Recreation District (Camp Site, Sport Village, Access Road, Utilities, Walk of Life and Elevated Cycle Track), Surf Ranch, Bab Al Nojoum and Hudayriyat West. Our role was to prepare an EAD required environmental assessment reports (PER or EIA) along with a number of baseline environmental surveys including marine and terrestrial ecology surveys. We also completed quantitative studies such as air dispersion modelling study, noise modelling and hydrodynamic modelling studies.

ADNOC-NEB-Flagship-Project

ADNOC NEB Surveys

Our team of consultants was tasked with studying and monitoring the biodiversity in the North East Bab (NEB) fields. The project included various surveys such as habitat and vegetation survey, quadrat and transect sampling, terrestrial ecology surveys, marine ecology surveys and mangrove tree surveys. These surveys aimed to provide comprehensive information on the ecological status of the NEB fields and to identify any potential environmental impacts of the activities in the area.

Ruwais-Derivatives-Park-Flagship-Project

In accordance with the ADNOC Group Policy and HSE Environmental Standards, an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) was undertaken by WKC for the construction and operations phase of the RDP development. WKC also prepared the air dispersion modelling studies assessing atmospheric emissions from industrial sources associated with development. Additionally, WKC conducted and ENVID workshop, soil, marine and terrestrial surveys as well as hydrodynamic modelling.

Al-Ain-Regional-Master-Plan-Flagship-Project

Al Ain Environmental Assessment

WKC was tasked with undertaking an Independent Regional Strategic Environmental Assessment and to update policies and plans that would form the development strategy for the Al Ain Region. In total, over 80 sites underwent filed surveys and a wider remote sensing campaign of the region was conducted that focused on land use, historic/cultural sites, ground water aquifers, flood risk, transportation network and community services (schools, hospitals mosques).

Sweihan-Solar-Farm-Flagship-Project

Sweihan Solar Farm EIA

WKC was tasked with updating the EIA and preparation of the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) in accordance with the Environmental Agency of Abu Dhabi (EAD) recommendations associated with the construction of a 177 Megawatts (MW) PV solar panel farm over an area of 796 hectares (ha) located in Sweihan, Abu Dhabi. A unique approach was taken on this site where each Dhub burrow was geo-referenced, demarcated and screened.  The Dhub lizards were then captured and released adjacent to the site.
